Trauma & EMDR

​

Trauma shows up in some unexpected places: as anxiety, depression, obsessions, compulsions, panic attacks, substance abuse, etc. I'm interested in the big and small traumas that accumulate over time, steering the course of a human life without our full awareness. Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) and Somatic Experiencing (SE) give us "embodied" ways to work with these symptoms, creating an opportunity for permanent change.

Experience

​

I bring eight years' experience working in hospital-based mental health settings, both inpatient and outpatient, where I treated a broad range of mental health issues, including: crisis intervention, severe and persistent psychiatric illness, mood disorders, PTSD, family conflicts, identity and phase-of-life issues, and many others. I have been in full-time private practice since 2018, focused primarily on the treatment of trauma
and anxiety.
